Inspire Me Thursday - World Traveler

The prompt this week for Inspire Me Thursday was "world traveler". As a child, I traveled the world for free. Books took me anywhere I wanted to go. I can recall often trying to hide a book in my lap at the dinner table, because I just couldn't put it down! Even today, I can travel through time and across continents by reading. Since I enjoyed Typography so much in art school, I thought I'd take a typographic approach this week.

I like this. I've done and do a lot of this type of traveling :)

Much cheaper and better for the environment too.

As a bibliophile, I can certainly appreciate your piece. I love the fact you have layered the image with various genres of reading. As Megan said, the typography and placement are delightful!

I like your collage and typography too.

Wondering if you've used layers in Photoshop to achieve this lovely effect.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Books were my only outlet to the outside world as a child and I too traveled a lot through them.

However, I must say I made up for a lot of lost time in my 20s when I wandered the world discovering with my eyes and hands what my mind had barely imagined.

Thank you for this post!

We constantly have to watch for the book at the table thing. Most of the time I let it go because I too remember the wonderful travel of the written word.
