This is my very first submission for Inspire Me Thursday. The creative prompt this week is circles. I love circles, so I thought this was the perfect time to join this challenge. This is a photo collage of two images -- a huge, industrial sculpture I saw on a roadside in Pensacola, and coreopsis from my garden. I liked the idea of combining nature with a hard, man-made surface. I may have to take this natural vs. industrial concept a little further.

That's beautiful, I like the colours and the layering effect and the juxtaposition of natural and industrial elements works really well.
Cheryl,
I love everything about this! It's simply beautiful...a feast for the eyes!
Blessings..from another "Cheryl"

Thanks for the comments on my site. It's the first time I've posted on Inspire Thursday and it's been great to hear from so many new people. I love the colours in the picture you've posted.
How nice to get your greeting on my first Inspire Me Thursday, too! To answer your question, no I haven't cranked out art/creativity that way since I was carefree & in school (majored in sewing & textiles). The mandalas are freeing because it's just my soul doodling, no attachment..that's why I'm so amazed! Look what happens when I let go! I think it'll help in other areas of creativity where I sometimes have to work at letting go. I think of creating mandalas as my Artful Morning Pages, ala Julia Cameron.
I look forward to seeing more of your musings too!
